Head of Brand & Product – Insurance recruitment
Our client is a fresh, innovative and exciting international Financial services and insurance business with an enviable brand and ambitious growth plans. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and successful Senior Brand Manager to join their current talent pool and to take the next step to 'Head of Brand'.
The key remit of the role is the continuous development of the strategic direction of the brand to achieve increased growth and profitability and to act as the lead brand champion. Innovation across all elements of the marketing mix is crucial and a high level of creativity is required. New Product Development is a major part of the role, as is the development of strong advertising and communication activities. You will be a leader within the marketing department providing leadership within the team and also, more broadly, within the organisation to drive success of your brand. Strong communication skills are essential to gain alignment from key internal stakeholders to your brand plans.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience across the full marketing mix. An ability to work cross functionally is key, as is an ability to represent the company externally. You will be able to bring creativity to the role to create innovative ideas but you will also be able operate in a heavily commercial and profit orientated environment.
Experience of above and below the line advertising will be advantageous along with experience in PR and External Communications. Preferably you will currently be in an Financial Services, insurance or similar environment and you will be seeking your next challenge in a well-respected and premium brand focussed organisation.
Qualifications, Training Experience:
The jobholder will have well developed leadership skills, a highly collaborative nature, good business awareness and be effective in managing senior stakeholders including Directors and senior Group colleagues. Given the centrality of the brand to the premium pricing position to our future growth, the postholder will possess a strong commitment to achieve results in a 'virtual' environment, be comfortable as a self-starter and be able to justify investment in brand initiatives which create return over the medium to long term.
The post holder will be a professionally trained Marketing or Communications Brand manager, with previous experience of leading another significant brand/s. International exposure in a complex, highly regulated and customer-centric sector would be beneficial. Knowledge of financial services and the healthcare market would be a significant advantage
A degree in a Marketing or Business-related discipline would be preferred as would account management experience in an international advertising agency or in the communications department of an international organisation. The jobholder must have experience of developing international advertising briefs, planning and implementing annual budgets and activity plans, with demonstrated impact on high net worth and expat audiences. Proven ability to create and foster a culture of continuous, measurable innovation is important.
