Head of Business Assurance

An International Financial Services organisation are looking to bring in a group-level Head of Business Assurance to re-design, implement and embed an effective Group Operational Risk and Business Continuity Framework that remains fit for purpose as the business and its subsidaries continue to evolve.
* Develop and maintain a framework that will help identify, assess, quantify, report and monitor its operational and business risks.
* Work with the business to fully integrate risk management into business operations, including the identification of risks associated with critical business processes and functions, and formulate initiatives and supporting processes to measure, manage and minimise the risks.
* Develop Risk Management Programmes in conjunction with strategic projects.
* Manage the risk register ensuring its regular review and reporting to the Audit Committee and ExCo.
* Develop and ensure maintenance of an effective group-wide BC policy on a global scale.
* Support Crisis Management team with critical components of the plan to facilitate efficient decision making and plan execution.

Candidate requirements:

* Experienced and comfortable with challenging, senior-level stakeholder engagements
* Proven experience of implementing fit for purpose risk frameworks, comfortable in a hands-on stand-alone function
* Able to make judgement calls for the business from a strategy and direction perspective
Additional knowledge and experience of Management Events, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Risk Transfer in a Financial Services environment.
