Job Responsibilities
Coordination (leveraging expertise that exists throughout the organization, as appropriate) of all finance, operations, technology, legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, analytical, and business management aspects of Treasury's CIO portfolio.
Specifically:
- Finance: performance measurement, accounting policy, hedge accounting, budgeting and forecasting, economic return substantiation, and structuring of positions to achieve desired GAAP reporting results.
- Operations: liaising with OT to ensure all positions are appropriately recorded and reconciled to subsystems and the general ledger.
- Technology: development of technological solutions to enhance the manner in which portfolio risks are managed, and to ensure appropriate connectivity with the development of the broader Liquidity Automation initiative.
- Legal/Regulatory/Compliance: development of the required framework to ensure compliance with the Volcker rule, addressing regulatory, legal, and compliance aspects of both existing and proposed new business activities
- Tax: coordination with Tax department to ensure most advantageous tax treatment of positions, and to proactive determine how new positions may be utilized to benefit the Firm's overall tax position.
- Analytics: development and enhancement of metrics and measures used to quantify risk in the portfolio and resulting returns and capital utilization.
- Business Management: coordination of administrative aspects of the business in support of the CIO co-heads, such as external data sources, expenses, preparation of presentations, and other related matters.
