1 JOB PURPOSE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Drydens Lawyers and Fairfax Solicitors are to merge with effect from 2 April. This is a very exciting development for the business as it will make us the largest law firm in the UK in our specialist field of debt recovery and debt litigation. The firm will trade as drydensfairfax solicitors.
This role operates at a senior level in Drydens, reporting into the Director of Collections Strategy and Analytics. The role holder will be dynamic and engaging, accountable for all aspects of performance within their collection area. It is an autonomous role where the Head of will design and deliver their team strategy within agreed budget parameters.
There will also be collective responsibility to deliver business wide projects and initiatives.
The position will manage a team of up to 100 with a maximum of 10 direct reports.
Accountabilities include;
Grow the business
Increase profit through collection income generation and cost control
Maintain exacting standards of quality and compliance across all aspects of client service
Consistently deliver top quartile performance in all client performance scorecards
Welcome and embed new business, swiftly securing client confidence and realising planned profit margins

Develop and deliver a business area strategy, underpinned by a team plan that dovetails the deliverables of the corporate plan
Anticipate, initiate and deliver change that constantly raises team / business performance levels
Manage many varied and conflicting priorities, without impacting on personal; business; client performance delivery

3 TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally degree level aptitude
Minimum of 5 years operational experience at a commensurate level with the same or broader structure
Fully conversant across all aspects of compliance that relate to this business area
Highly numerical with ‘advanced’ skills in Microsoft Excel
Minimum of 3 years experience in setting, owning and delivering to budget
Extensive experience of client management at a senior level
