Head of Compliance Group for Leading Investment Bank – Germany & London recruitment
For senior compliance candidates this opportunity offers not only the chance to work in one of the world’s leading Investment banks but also help drive forward the entire compliance group. The position will cover 7 teams (Control Room, Control Room Operations, Position Reporting Group, Communications and Trade Surveillance, Registrations, AML Operations, Global Policy Approvals Group), allowing huge amounts of managerial exposure and a chance to shape several areas within the function.
The role will obviously have a large amount of facing with senior management, as well as the firm’s key stakeholders. The position has been made available due to the previous head being promoted, highlighting the career progression available from this position.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that quality standards are consistently met across all of teams within Compliance function
- Works directly with onshore Regional Heads and other senior stakeholders to Strategy is implemented in Berlin
- Takes full responsibility for management and development of staff including responsibility for objective setting, performance reviews, promotion cycle management and delivery of difficult messages
- Report directly into the CCO both in Germany, London and New York
- Responsible for the training of junior officers within the group
Ideal Candidate
• University Degree (MsC would be preferable)
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven management ability (Must have 5+ years in management within banking/finance
• Fluent in English
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Willing to relocate to Berlin
• Ability interface with key stakeholders and senior management
