Head of Compliance - Life and Insurance
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that the compliance framework is consistent with global compliance policies and procedures.
• Supervisory responsibility for implementing and ensuring a robust and effective compliance function and processes across the business
• Ensuring the compliance function can conduct due diligence investigations of marketing partners within all relevant jurisdictions in accordance with group outsourcing policies
• Providing a single point of contact for Compliance initiatives and programmes
• Supporting the European Boards of directors and Senior Leadership Teams to deliver on strategic objectives
• Developing, implementing and maintaining a compliance strategy in terms of communication, training and monitoring.
• Ensuring compliance policies and procedures are communicated and implemented across the business
• Undertaking and successfully executing compliance related projects and programmes
• Working with the General Counsel to manage the day to day relationship with regulators in particular the UK FSA and its successor bodies and supporting regional counsel in their regulatory relationships
Essential Skills:
• Extensive experience of working within the Compliance team of a UK FSA regulated Life and/or Insurance company
• Experience of working with Board members
• Strong understanding of General Insurance products and distribution models
• Degree of commercial acumen and gravitas.
• Influencing skills necessary to lead in a cross functional environment
• Strong people management skills
£80k-£100k basic with excellent benefits and bonus
