Head of Compliance Monitoring, Investment Banking, Permanent, London
An opportunity for a Global Head of Compliance Monitoring has arisen for a suitably high calibre candidate. This Head of Compliance position is based at a highly reputed Tier 1 Investment Bank.
The global head of compliance monitoring will have the following responsibilities:
• Assessing the current key monitoring and assurance protocols in the business and making changes where necessary.
• The provision of monitoring reports to the global head of compliance and the other regional heads and global senior managers that can be used for in turn reporting internally and externally
• Provision of wide reaching and challenging compliance plan to the satisfaction of the global head of compliance and the group's audit committee
• Oversight of the management and development and delivery of a monitoring methodology to ensure good standards, best practice in the industry and in-line with internal audit to ensure efficiencies are gained by compatible methodologies
• Oversee the task allocation within the compliance monitoring team and to work closely with internal audit to ensure that tasks and assigned and timetabled to maximise efficiency between the teams
• Ensure the quality of plan and tasks are delivered in line with methodology and to a standard that allows internal audit to take comfort and rely on the compliance work
For this global head of compliance monitoring position we are seeking a high-calibre individual with:
• An extensive, successful track record in thematic monitoring
• Investment Banking experience
• Strong compliance monitoring experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Solid managerial/supervisory experience
