Head of Corporate Banking

Role description• Develops and monitors corporate strategy and business plans to insure alignment with bank objectives.
• Maintains regular dialogue with existing/potential customers to develops further business opportunities.
• Prepare group budget and assigns objectives to group members.
• Works on increasing Division's FD to cover the required regulatory level.
• Assists in increasing the Bank's lending portfolio through active marketing of both domestic and international companies within the UAE, highlighting potential customers by way of 'cold calls' and providing a personalized service to customers within their own portfolio.
• Provides assistance to other division heads and TL, as and when required, to negotiate of deals and create products.
• Manages, administers and directs DHs/ TLs on their day to day activities, ensuring that targets are met and relevant work is documented.
• Undertakes scheduled marketing visits in pursuit of business and develops viable new relationships/business.
• Assists in promoting the bank's domestic image through participation at local events, exhibitions, promotions, publicity, giveaways and promotions.
• Supervises the activities of DHs/ TLs to ensure the smooth running of the division and have regular meetings with all employees.
• Provide strategic direction with regard to miscellaneous projects/tasks regarding the improvement / upgrading of procedures / systems of the Division.
• Monitors the allocation and performance of employees and trainees assigned to the Division.
• Manage the Division employees in accordance with Bank's policies related to recruitment, objective/ KPIs setting, performance management, staff rotation, leave planning, training and management development of UAE Nationals.
• Assists the Human Resources Division in the annual manpower planning process.
• Compiles division performance and other MIS reports as requested by the Senior Management on a periodic basis.
• Cooperates with Internal / External / Central Bank auditors on credit / lending / provisioning policies and procedures during their respective audits.
• Identifies and manages all significant risks in the portfolio.
• Improves and sustains the quality of bank assets by managing and reducing NPL accounts.Who we're looking forA technically strong Corporate Banker, ideally an Arabic speaker with a network and portfolio of clients, trained within an international Bank, understands corporate clients, has a strong sales background with good people management skills
