Head of Credit Cards recruitment

Roles and Responsibilities :

a)Develop the annual business plans for the Credit Cards Unit; working towards enhancing profit, sales, services, and the expansion and retention of card users as well as reducing costs and turnaround time. Ensures the overall business line profit plan achievement.

b)Develops new credit card products and services. Prices and markets the product effectively and manages and reduces operational costs to achieve profitability.

c)Develops and ensures continued application of effective card issuance programs and procedures. Develops and implements effective risk management standards and policies. Ensures that department provides quality customer service.

d)Directs the development and maintenance of an effective credit card business program. Executes and renews in coordination with the Legal Unit and as appropriate suitable agency/business agreements with Visa/Amex/MasterCard, Arab Financial Services (AFS), Euronet and Insurance Companies completely safeguarding Bank’s interest.

e)Works with marketing, sales, card center, IT, back office, and branches to develop objectives, awareness, and strategies to enhance card services, processing, performance tracking, and market penetration.

f)Monitors and coordinates all activities between the Bank and its processors to ensure seamless service to customers.

g)Directs the use of statistical measures of operational work flow to monitor and control output quality and to guarantee meeting Service Level Agreements with business users.

h)Reviews and escalates periodic and requested reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

i)Participates in the selection and development of staff. Interviews, coaches, advises, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines personnel. Reviews recommendations of subordinate managerial and supervisory staff and provides guidance in resolving complex or sensitive problems. Maintains and promotes positive employee relations in the work environment.

j)Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department.

k)Prepares, secures approval, and implements department operating budget and operates within those guidelines.

l)Participates in the various cross-functional committees/teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service.

m)Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as instructed by the direct manager.

Other Skills Required for the Job:

• Strong understanding of profitability drivers and market development across the various product life cycle stages.

• High level of analytical skills and ability to understand scientific marketing techniques including surveying and statistical analysis in marketing program development.

• Ability to manage, motivate and develop product management team and lead cross functional project teams.

• Familiarity with bank’s operations, sales and support environments and a strong customer focus.
