Head of Credit Risk Architecture recruitment

Our client, a leading global bank, requires an experienced risk management professional for the role of Head of Credit Risk Architecture. This role can be based at a number of locations across the UK and reports to the Director, Risk Infrastructure.

If successful you will be charged with ensuring that credit risk system design and development is aligned to the Bank’s risk appetite and business goals, and that these enable the Credit Risk team to become a key pillar of the Bank's overall competitive advantage.

To achieve this, you will need to create an appropriate framework; constructing a roadmap including a phased approach accounting for the impact on businesses, people and processes; and establishing fit-for-purpose governance including design authority, standards and principles for the credit risk community. You will play an active role in the development of group-wide strategies, policies, systems and controls in order to manage, monitor and control risks related to credit risk systems and processes.

In addition you will bring thought leadership to the function, ensuring that the Bank remains at the cutting edge of credit risk systems; manage and support relevant project activities, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget, and monitor results to confirm that the desired outcome is achieved and that benefits are quantified. The role carries responsibility for a small team based across multiple sites.

You must possess extensive and expert knowledge of risk systems and processes, software development life cycle and six-sigma process design, combined with a broad appreciation of business strategy and goals, retail credit risk and banking industry regulations.

Strong leadership skills and collaborative stakeholder management credentials are required and you should be able to demonstrate experience of transforming a business through relationship-building and influencing stakeholders.
