Head of Credit Risk

A head of Credit Risk is required to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Manage the Risk team;
- Take ownership of pricing, risk assessment, data quality control and analysis within the department;
- Produce pricing assessments of all types of debt portfolios offered for sale and assist the CFO when liaising with funding partners;
- Manage due diligence process on debt portfolios offered for sale;
- Produce sufficient documentation to enable Directors and investment partners make appropriate decisions on debt purchases;
- Ensure appropriate operational reports are produced and the key messages are understood by all stakeholders from the Board to Operational Staff;
- Identify and perform analysis for stakeholders required by CFO in order to develop the business;
- Develop appropriate data models to be able to make effective use of the data available, whether this be for pricing or operational performance;
- Manage the relationships with Credit Reference Agencies and other external data providers;
- Identify and review the costs and benefits of additional data sources;
- Ensure quality control is maintained to a high standard within the department

- A high level of experience of working in a Risk function withinthe Collections sector;;
- Experience of managing a team;
- Understanding of data available to make pricing and other decisions in Debt Purchase and Contingency collections;
- Extensive experience of model development;
- Excellent communicator;
- Familiar with MS Office suite and database software, complemented by at least one widely used coding language (VB, SQL, SAS).
