Reinsurance Controller
- Quarterly preparation of the Standard Information (SI) files in USGAAP for the UK company as required by New York HQ for the purpose of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) returns.
- Co-ordinate and check accuracy of SI files through stakeholder management
- Compile reinsurance data and prepare Reinsurance (RI) vertical files for the UK company plus additional European branches (from 1 December 2012) as required by New York HQ
- Review intercompany differences in relation to reinsurance transactions
- Perform regular tasks for the review of reinsurance transactions as set out in the control documents for the UK company and its European branches
- Research local regulations - compliance requirements for UK and its branches
- Review bad debt calculation for the UK company andits European branches
- Assist with testing of Finance transformation project future release
- Perform regular review of the FSRI for exceptions and follow up with respective business units
- Carry out ad-hoc RI Finance tasks
- Work within agreed decision-making standards, limitations and authorities
- Comply with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities
- Carry out all accountabilities and objectives within the framework of theUK company`s Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) policy
- Qualified account (CPA, ACA or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- Significant reinsurance - insurance financial accounting experience
- Experience using SAP as a financial reporting tool
- Good knowledge of USGAAP
- Excellent level of proficiency in Excel
- Effective communication and negotiation - stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience of delivering reports within set deadlines
- Willingness to travel within European region as required
Multinational General Insurance provider based in London.
£55-65,000 per annum+benefits
