Group Head of Facilities Management and H S required by leading Leeds based business.       

 

 

 

Main Purpose of Role

Provide a full health, safety and environment, premises, facilities and fleet management service to the business. Set the Health, Safety and Environment Strategy for the business.

 

Key Tasks Accountabilities

Design, manage, monitor and continually review Health, Safety Environment arrangements for the business and thereby ensure compliance with appropriate legislation and ISO standards

Manage premises for the Group including lease reviews, application for licences to make amendments to meet business requirements and ensure day to day comfort of staff

Manage all relationships with the landlords’ managing agents and other tenants (where appropriate) for all Group premises

Provide a link with Finance to enable close forecasting of service charges

Manage, monitor and maintain the Group’s physical security as appropriate

Set the Group policy for the provision of pool/company and cash for car and manage, monitor and review arrangements to ensure they remain competitive, attractive, safe compliant

Manage food and beverage provision across the Group, vending and other services within budget and to a high level of quality and customer satisfaction

Manage fit-out projects, inter-floor re-organisations, refurbishments, dilapidations and other adhoc projects as appropriate

Manage, coach and develop staff as appropriate

Make recommendations for budget setting and manage costs within agreed budgets

Skills

 

Essential:

Excellent negotiating skills with an ability to negotiate sound commercial deals

Ability to build rapport with people and foster excellent customer service ethos in all areas of influence

Excellent people management skills

Experience of providing service across different sites

Experience of setting and managing budgets

Commercial thinking/aptitude

Excellent numerical and verbal reasoning abilities

Preferred:

Experience of providing service within a information technology business

 

 

Knowledge

Essential:

Knowledge of commercial leases

Health, Safety and Environment – knowledge of the law and best practice including ISO standards 9001, 14001

Knowledge of best practice in relation to the management of fleet

NEBOSH Certificate
