Head of Financial Risk Oversight recruitment
Role Overview:
*To own, develop and maintain the group's financial risk policies including the market risk, credit risk, life insurance risk, general insurance risk and liquidity risk policies
*To manage reviews into the practical management of the Group's financial risks
*To support and challenge the setting of risk appetite measures for all risks in scope, within the agreed overall risk appetite from the Board
*Participate in managing risk across the enterprise as part of the Group Risk Management function
*To participate in the review and challenge of the design, calibration and validation of the Group's internal model as it relates to financial risks
*To ensure that there are strong governance processes in place for the management of product pricing and product pricing risk, and that product risk is appropriately reflected in the product governance framework
Person requirements:
*Substantial experience of managing financial risk in an insurance environment
*Deep subject matter expertise in one or more areas of financial risk
*Knowledge of the use and management of derivatives
*Familiarity with product development and product pricing techniques, including stochastic modelling
*Familiarity with insurance reserving processes
*Significant experience of regulatory requirements and expectations including Solvency II
*Actuarial, or other highly numerate professional qualification
