Head of Fixed Income Evaluations APAC recruitment

Key Responsibilities and Tasks include;
- Evaluations
- Evaluation of fixed income securities using proprietary models
- Price and data research, sourcing and analysis
- Managing maintenance and enhancement of valuations models/Spreadsheets,
- Monitoring news and market conditions, as well as, obtaining market information from existing and acquired contacts
- Daily client query handling
- Represent the Company’s evaluations expertise at client and potential client meetings
- Systems, processes and projects
- Identifying areas that could cause potential risk to the evaluations process and develop solutions to enhance current and on-going processes and controls
- Maintaining a well organised and clearly documented overview of the evaluation process in accordance with the policies and procedures utilised within the organisation both individually and for the team.
- Participate in Ad hoc projects
- Management
- Effective and efficient task planning and allocation – monitoring and overseeing the workflow of the team, delegating responsibilities and accountabilities
- Staff recruitment, training, coaching and development
- Networking
- Build a close and trusting professional relationship be built with market participants, clients, and customer service
- Buy and Sell Side liaison within our Australian and Asia Pacific client Base
The person
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline
- 5+ years’ experience (or equivalent) in a Fixed Income trading environment or portfolio management environment is essential.
- Exceptional performance in the Manager role including 3 years plus supervisory/management experience would be an advantage
- Business English – relevant Asian language an advantage
- Significant knowledge of fixed income markets and trends
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and follow-up skills
- Ability to work under stringent time constraints, multi-task and prioritize own and teams workload

- PC – including Microsoft Office, in particular Excel (SQL and Visual Basic an advantage)

This role would suit highly mathematical candidates who have either supported front office functions with Fixed Income evaluations and pricing or who have been Fixed Income traders or portfolio managers with strong evaluation skills who are keen to join a service driven firm where you will define standards and those standards of quality are high.
