Head of Global Markets, Switzerland
Role
The Swiss banking operation is expanding and with trading and structuring support from their head office now wish to press ahead with the development of their local Global Markets (GM) distribution capability. This will initially target corporate and family office client relationships that the bank has and there is an opportunity to continue to build their Swiss client franchise from this existing base.
Reporting to the Head of International Global Markets at Head Office and locally to the the CEO, the role will involve:
- Active management and development of client dealing relationships
- Building strong deal flow and pnl
- Active distrtibution of FX, rates and commodity product
- Coordination and participation in building GM infrastructure
- Management of existing small team and development of the team as the business grows
- Work with management to define and execute the local GM strategy
Required Experience
- Broad knowledge of Global market products ( rates, FX, commodities)
- 10 + years’ front office experience in the markets
- Knowledge of the Swiss regulatory environment
- Relevent sales related experience in coverage of corporate and/or family office clients in Switzerland
- Solution based approach to selling for risk/ hedging and asset management
- Technical knowledge and experience of dealing in derivatives
- Significant experience of cross asset selling ,ideally with direct knowledge of rates, FX and commodity products
- Good technical knowledge and education
