Head of HR, Asia Pacific recruitment
The Role
To drive and deliver the HR agenda across the Asia Pacific Region through: developing and maintaining effective relationships within the Asia Pacific, Country Managers, Group HR and leading the Asia Pacific HR team.
Resonsibilties
- Working collaboratively with the Asia Pacific EMT and Group HR Centres of Expertise, define an appropriate HR strategy that contributes to and supports the overall strategy for the business, focussing on:
- Building “A Great Place to Work"
- Creating a compelling Employer Brand to attract and retain talent in Asia Pacific
- Facilitate talent management strategy in Asia Pacific
- Embedding the Values and associated behaviours in to day-to-day operations
- Building a high performance workforce and culture
- Building people management capability
- Building a fit for purpose HR structure in Asia Pacific and developing HR Business Partner capability
- Developing and implementing Asia Pacific specific HR policies and practices, eg. Consistent job evaluation system.
- Implementing common HR processes Globally and Regionally
- Overseeing continuous improvement of HR processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
- Working collaboratively with the Group HR Centres of Expertise, determine the necessary HR activities, policies and procedures for the Asia Pacific Region that deliver this strategy and implement these effectively.
- Lead the Asia Pacific HR team to deliver excellent service to their customers.
- As a member of the Asia Pacific EMT contribute to the overall development of the Asia Pacific Region.
- As a member of the Global HR team contribute to the development of Group-wide HR Strategy and be responsible for its deployment throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
Person Specification
- Experienced (10 + years) HR practitioner including 2 + years Asia Pacific experience
- Experience of Organisation development and change management
- Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy to manage through, potentially competing, stakeholder agendas
- Represent HR in the Asia Pacific
- Ability to lead cross cultural, virtual team across 10 countries (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, Japan, Australia and New Zealand
- Culturally sensitive with the ability to coach across cultures
- Ability to speak other Asian languages would be helpful but not essential
