Head of Internal Audit

A leading business in the financial services sector is hiring for a Head of Internal Audit, to join their highly skilled audit team.

The Internal Audit Leader will be in charge of consolidating all relevant results across EMEA for reporting to the relevant Capital EMEA HQ committees. The incumbent will be required to develop strong relationships with Commercial, country leadership teams and EMEA HQ. Additionally the Head of Internal Audit, will provide coaching, career and professional development and team motivation, as well as co-ordinating many of the local internal audit teams within EMEA.

Key to the success of the role, will be the building, development and coaching of a European pool of internal auditors, capable of providing appropriate audit coverage of non-locally regulated businesses within the specified European businesses.

The Head of Internal Audit will lead large teams (25-30) and working with divisions with over $50 billion of assets, it is therefore essential that applicants have relevant experience leading large teams spread across multi-country jurisdictions.

In order for your application to be considered, you will need to meet the following criteria;

· Possess relevant and proven audit and team leadership experience, from Financial Services
· Proven ability to operate successfully in large complex matrix organisations
· Proactive and independent worker who can develop strong relationships with senior executives
· Able to link strategic/commercial view to audit risk assessment process
· Open minded/willing to listen
· Strong oral communication, business writing, and presentation skills / must be a fluent English speaker
· Must be able to travel up to 40%
