Head of Investment Reporting and Compliance recruitment

Reporting to the Group Investments Director, the Head of Investment Reporting Compliance will play a lead role in the operation of RSA Group’s investment portfolios.  This will include management of key relationships with fund managers and custodians, development of fund management infrastructure, monitoring and reporting on activity, performance and disposition and generally ensuring that investments are managed in line with RSA’s requirements

Key Responsibilities will include:
•    Ensuring the accurate delivery of all required investment information for the Group’s quarterly results process.
•    Development and implementation the Group and UK’s investment Financial Control Framework.  
•    Providing the Group Investments Director with timely, accurate and complete information and commentary on actual performance, trend analyses, market insights, and benchmark comparisons.
•    Development and delivery of high quality reporting on the investment portfolio disposition and risk characteristics to the Group Investments Director
•    Overseeing monitoring of adherence to the global investment management framework including investment limits and policy statements to ensure regulatory compliance and drive consistent good practice.
•    Management of key fund management, custody and other contacts associated with the operation of the Group’s investment portfolios.
•    Contributing to the operation of the global reporting and monitoring framework to enable monitoring of the current investment position and early identification of issues or opportunities requiring action.
•    Leading or contributing to the management and maintenance of strong, positive relationships with external service providers and advisers
•    Developing or recommending action to raise standards and improve operational effectiveness and consistency through process, technology and/or people capability development
•    Leading, motivating and developing a team to deliver high quality outputs in the most effective ways while ensuring their personal and professional development

You’ll be a senior investment professional with extensive experience of investment management operations in a multi-national PLC, fund manager or consultancy.
You’ll have extensive experience and knowledge of investment fund administration and custody gained within a middle or back office function and a proven track record of driving process improvements
You’ll possess the necessary communication skills to influence stakeholders at a senior level and to build a network of internal and external relationships on a global basis.
