Head of IT Audit (Asia) with a renowned MNC recruitment

- Travel of around 40% travel expected
Our client is a renowned and established firm within the FI industry with a global presence. It is now looking to hire a seasoned IT Audit Director to head the IT audit function in Asia. This role can be based Singapore, Malaysia or HK and the expected travel is around 40% across the region. Key functions:
- Provide Management with objective analysis, detailed observations and recommendations relating to key Business risk areas to mitigate the spectrum of risks relating to the achievement of Business Objectives and Plans
- Provide independent, objective assurance that risks are being managed to ensure they are within the risk appetite approved by the Board.
- Support the Audit Director in his / her assessment of the overall risk management environment in the firm
- Be a member of the Audit leadership team, responsible for developing and reviewing the annual risk based audit plans.
- Managing a team re the delivery of a portfolio of audits in line with agreed annual audit plan, continuously reviewing to ensure alignment between audit strategy and business strategy.
Requirements:
- Post Qualification – at least 14 years of work experience with a min of 5 years in an IT audit role with management experience.
- Recognised audit or accountancy Qualification. Additional qualifications such as CISA beneficial.
- Relevant industry experience in FI/ insurance/asset management is an added plus but this is not a must. Experienced IT Audit Directors/ senior managers with MNC backgrounds from other non- FI industries will be considered.
- Experience in successfully coaching and developing people.
- High attention to detail and rigorous logical thinking ability.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing and challenging senior management and building excellent relationships
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
