Head of KYC New Business – Client Onboarding
You will be responsible for for ensuring that all customers are onboarded in accordance with the requirements of the KYC Business Rules and attending weekly KYC and AML Compliance team meetings to discuss issues with customer onboarding and contribute to the development of strategies to implement changes to the KYC Business Rules. This will also involve having a large input into the current Remediation project stream as well.
The Head of KYC New Business is also responsible for managing the KYC New Business team which stands at approximately 15 people. This includes setting and monitoring performance objectives, onboarding new resources, developing and delivering appropriate training, providing guidance on customer onboarding processes and KYC systems. You'll play an important role to ensure the consistency and quality of the due diligence checks conducted by your team.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of our customer onboarding capabilities, identifying and implementing enhancements to increase the efficiency of your team and identifying relevant regulatory changes and implementing the necessary updates internally. You will support and contribute to ongoing KYC projects such as the enhancement of the GoldTier customer information management system and the various customer screening systems used by the Bank.
Experience Required:
- Substantial experience in the financial services industry, particularly Investment Banking
- Substantial expeirence of team management and leadership and recuitment in a pressured environment. Ideally teams of 10 people upwards.
- Sound knowledge of KYC procedures and regulatory best practice (2007 Money Laundering Regulation and JMLSG Guidance)
- Significant experience of reviewing and documenting customer relationships
- Project management experience with detailed understanding of risk and control processes
- Knowledge of finance and budget management processes
- Strong experience dealing with High Risk Entities
