Head of KYC Team recruitment
For both the take on of new clients and the review of existing clients with the aim of ensuring that the Bank meets all of its legal and regulatory responsibilities and obligations in connection with all KYC matters.
Main responsibilities
- Management of the KYC team workload to include the allocation and monitoring of workflows, reviewing progress and management reporting where necessary to ensure deadlines are met;
- Provision of support to the Head of Client Credit Group in suggesting, implementing and embracing changes to working practices where necessary with a view to ensuring that the Client Credit Group meets its goals and objectives;
- Provision of Management Information as to the team’s overall performance as and when required, setting and monitoring objectives in line with the Bank’s policy on such matters;
- Developing and implementing procedures to enhance the efficiency of the department and ensuring that the department follows the procedures of the Bank;
- Management of Special Projects to enhance the delivery capabilities of the Workflow system;
- Review of the opening of new accounts to ensure that all necessary checks have been undertaken and that all documentation required to meet SGCIC’s regulatory obligations have been accounted for;
- Regular reporting to the London branch MLRO concerning the client base of the branch;
- Management of the provision of regular training to the KYC analysts either in conjunction with other departments (Compliance etc) or via use of the PS monitoring; and
- Management of the provision of ad-hoc training to the Front Office in the form of surgeries etc;
Internal external contacts
- Primary internal contacts are the UK CSU and CMU teams, individual business lines based in London and abroad, the Compliance Group and the Group Legal in London and other KYC units around the world;
- External contacts are limited.
Specific context
- The Head of KYC has a considerable degree of autonomy in relation to the management of the team and allocation of work; and
- The Head of KYC will be expected to suggest improvements to working practices and take responsibility for individual projects as and when they arise.
Education
- Graduate level or equivalent preferred
Past experience
- 5+ years KYC experience
Languages
- Fluent English
- French helpful, but not necessary
