Head of KYC
The main task of the team is to ensure that the KYC files progress through the correct approval chain in the optimal manner and are processed efficiently and in a readily identifiable manner once sanctioned. The successful candidate will manage this team.
Day to day duties will include:
- Management of the KYC team workload to include the allocation and monitoring of workflows, reviewing progress and management reporting where necessary to ensure deadlines are met;
- Provision of support to the Head of Client Credit Group in suggesting, implementing and embracing changes to working practices where necessary with a view to ensuring that the Client Credit Group meets its goals and objectives;
- Provision of Management Information as to the team`s overall performance as and when required, setting and monitoring objectives in line with the Bank`s policy on such matters;
- Developing and implementing procedures to enhance the efficiency of the department and ensuring that the department follows the procedures of the Bank;
- Management of Special Projects to enhance the delivery capabilities of the Workflow system;
- Review of the opening of new accounts to ensure that all necessary checks have been undertaken and that all documentation required to meet SGCIC`s regulatory obligations have been accounted for;
- Regular reporting to the London branch MLRO concerning the client base of the branch;

The ideal candidate will be Graduate level or equivalent and have extensive KYC experience. They must be strong interpersonally too.
