Head of Legal – Property Development recruitment
Our client is a fast growing specialist mixed use developer and contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £250m, focussing on complex developments and refurbishments in and around London.
They are currently looking for a Head of Legal to be a key part of the senior management team and the remit will be:
- Provide legal advice on development, construction and corporate matters
- Attend monthly board meetings and other group board meetings as required
- Managing of relationships with external legal advisers, including service levels and budgets.
- Leading and co-ordinate the legal aspects of development transactions
- Managing the Legal team and Company Secretarial team
- Providing and supervising the provision by the Assistant Solicitor of ad-hoc property advice to the group
- Answer ad-hoc queries relating to the group structure and corporate and banking arrangements
- Keep abreast of general legal developments affecting the business and arrange updates / training and draft company policies as required
The successful candidate should have a strong track record in managing complex development transactions. Although construction advice is part of the role, detailed experience of this is not essential as support will be offered to a candidate willing to learn in this area.
You will already be in the property sector either in practice or in-house.
