The Head of Payment Operations will lead, drive and manage the operational performance for payments processing operations in respect of the underlying business streams for Australia and other countries. This primarily relates to the high value and bulk electronic payments streams, RTGS and other complex and cross border payments at a group level. It also covers general branch and customer enquiries, for the payments business.
Parameters to success will be meeting FTE targets, managing expenses as per agrees business service and managing operation costs of the unit to achieve agreed targets and benefits. The role holder will identify opportunities for cost savings and improved productivity and efficiency and build performance management culture across Payments Cash Ops and initiate behavioural change interventions to maximise team performance.
The role will also focus on consistent improvement of internal and external Customer Satisfaction scores by implementing incidence program that proactively communicates and manages clients and key stakeholders. From a People's perspective, you will develop strong relationships with internal staff and internal stakeholders, thereby working on turnover and absenteeism, staff engagement and cross skilling of resources.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Transaction Operations experience with payments operations
- Minimum management experience of 5 years
- A sound understanding of business and the context in which Payments Operations operates and exposure to SWIFT Messaging
- Exhibit particularly strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills and is able to motivate
- Collaborative in style involving others in reaching end states in worked performed
- Tertiary qualification, MBA or equivalent experience will be well regarded
