Head of Portfolio – Spend / Usage Unit recruitment

A senior role within the Retail banking division, this role will be responsible for a sizeable team of  business development sales and distribution employees. Key responsibilities include:

• Support Business Head Cards in developing product, pricing, channel, process marketing strategy to maximize interest or fee revenue from the Credit Card portfolio.

• Work closely with internal partners like Cards Acquisition Mgr/ Usage manager, sales channels, risk management, credit initiation, decision management, Marketing, Finance other supporting departments to achieve the assigned Credit Card portfolio business targets-PL.

• Track PL: Variances recommend strategies.

• Manage retention and develop anti-attrition / win back programs across all card products / channels

• Maximize the returns on various revenue lines and check cost leakages.

• Negotiate/partner with risk management to explore /expand credit cards portfolio product range to be made available to customers at various sales/distribution channels.

• Develop targeted offering for untapped customer profiles and maximize the risk appetite of the bank

• Enhance sales channels productivity efficiency by providing strategic and operations support.

• Initiate, plan implement marketing and sales campaigns for meeting sales targets and ensure all flow is smooth and compliant within the marketing budget and improved cost efficiency.

• Develop business tracking reports for various channels and also help monitoring competitor's activities in the market for continuous business growth.

• Identify high/low performing customers in the Credit Card portfolio. Conduct the analysis develop initiatives/strategy to acquire the most profitable customer type.

• Conduct regular portfolio performance analysis across cardholder base. 

Skills / experience required:

• Minimum Bachelors degree, preferably with MBA

• 6 year works experience in Retail Card business and at least 2 years in cards portfolio role.

• Excel software proficiency.

• Numbers orientated

• Ability to crunch large data and hands on experience in data modeling tools, forecasting of portfolio indicators, product analysis and diagnostics.
