Head of Private Equity Operations recruitment
The Specialist position will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting, administration and reporting function for private equity clients. The Specialist should be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA), with private equity experience; solid written and verbal communications skills, and a proven ability to multi-task.
The Candidate must have a very strong knowledge of commitment-based limited partnerships accounting/administration including:
Preparation Financial Statements (US GAAP and IFRS essential)
Preparation of Partner's Capital Statements (including specific allocations)
Preparation and execution of complex waterfall (performance fee) models- both fund and deal-by-deal
Strong knowledge and experience of accounting and administration for multi-vehicle structures- Strong knowledge and experience with specific partner allocations (investor opt-outs on investments/ management fee rebates/ management fee-exempt vehicles).
Strong knowledge and experience of fund documentation- LPAs, PPMs, Side letters, IM agreements, IA agreements, Fund and SPV board minutes
Experience across accounting, payments, investor servicing, audit assistance and other administration tasks.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of unitised closed ended funds (eg SCA SIFs, QIFs)
Range of experience across private equity (buyout, VC, fund-of-funds), real estate, mezzanine debt, infrastructure, hybrid debt (quasi open-ended structures) and/or microfinance funds
Range of experience across fund structures and jurisdictions (Cayman, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Jersey, Guernsey etc)
Industry knowledge of Custody, Corporate Secretarial Services, AML, Legal (including drawing up and negotiating of administration agreements)
Experience:
Experience of building a successful private equity administration team, or business would be a distinct advantage.
Experience in reviewing general ledgers, financial statements, footnotes and working papers essential

Advanced computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
Qualifications:
University degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.B.S.) preferable
4 years minimum experience in private equity accounting
ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification
