Head of Production Accounts for International TV production company
An opportunity has arisen reporting to the Finance Director for a large international tv production company. This company has experienced growth year upon year and is a leader in the industry. They are looking to recruit a talented individual to join their team as a head of production accounting. This is a 15 month contract which is a fantastic opportunity for someone to progress their career with one of the leaders in TV production.
The main responsibilities include managing all aspects of production accounting and reporting for the UK. They will also be responsible for the management of 12 members of finance staff. They will ensure the integrity of the production accounting system in SAP and the accuracy of the reporting. They will be able to allocate suitable production resource to all commissions, ensure compliance with all relevant accounting policies. Review and sign off all production budgets, ensure appropriate recharges and margins allowed for, review all production cost reports and ensure that they are timely, accurate and complete. Ensure the timely and smooth set up and closedown of productions. Liaise with Business Service Centre to ensure future production requirements are anticipated and issues dealt with. The role will also include monthly review of % of completion – accuracy of recognition and supervision of monthly close. Analysis and review of movements and recharges, and to ensure the integrity of the systems including SAP. Ensure SAP TB Analysis and associated balance sheet breakdowns are prepared quarterly. This person will also carry out ad-hoc analysis and projects as and when required
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to stakeholders across the business-The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with 5-year minimum experience and have a strong background in IFRS and UK GAAP. They must have a strong background in production accounting and have good staff management. This person must be a strong communicator who is looking for a challenging
