Head of Products & Marketing recruitment

A senior hire, this role reports into the AGM of Retail Banking and has a direct team of 3 to manage with remit to grow the team in 2012. The idea candidate will come from a strong retail banking background having gained experience in all retail banking products in particular loans, credit cards as well as having secured strong experience in new product development. Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure the implementation of the Retail Product and Marketing strategy, the effective communication of unit objectives across the unit and the creation of a line of sight between individual jobholders and the unit strategy.

- Ensure that the unit strategy is translated into annual operational business plans and targets. Monitor the performance during the course of the year.

- Ensure that the departmental policies are developed, reviewed, updated and maintained to align the operational activities to the bank’s policies.

- Ensure that the budgeting process is completed in a timely manner and submitted to the budgeting committee. Monitor the budget performance during the course of the year.

- Develop annual marketing plans with all business unit heads and decide on the appropriate annual priorities. 

- Direct and manage the on-going development and management of the various segmentation programs to develop economically viable proposals and oversee the appropriate marketing support based on research.

- Supervise the marketing and related activities for the Retail Banking group including customer segmentation, MIS, marketing planning, merchandising, and product management in order to provide a full marketing support service.

- Manage the retail loans and credit cards portfolio in order to achieve pre determined volume and profit targets.

- Direct the conceptualisation, planning, development and introduction of new products and services to ensure that products and services are made available to customers to meet their banking and investment needs.

- Manage the Retail Liabilities and Insurance unit which oversees the management of available deposits, develop and implement relevant product portfolios under the liabilities side including identification of product gaps, development of rules, pricing, promotions and marketing.

- Define and ensure adherence to marketing, advertising and merchandising standards so that the integrity of the brand.

- Coordinate the implementation of the marketing plan and manages a budget for media and production purposes of Cards, Loans, Liabilities and Segmentation.
