Head of Regulatory Compliance (Ref No. HRC/DK180613)

Our client is a leading global financial services business with strong presence in the region. They are seeking an experienced candidate with sound regulatory knowledge to fill their newly created vacancy as Head of Regulatory compliance.

 

As a lead and key member in this role, the incumbent will oversee implementation of an effective risk monitoring program to mitigate risks and enhance key regulatory relationships. You will be required to design, implement and oversee a process to track regulatory developments and enforcement trends, analyse impact to the Group and generate timely, relevant alerts to key stakeholders. By leveraging on regulatory requirement strategy, you will enhance the role in managing regulatory relationships and ensure effective regulatory compliance process is maintained. One of the key hats you will wear in this role is to Head FATCA compliance program for the group; you will manage implementation of FATCA compliance requirements and monitor regulatory developments on FATCA, liaise with the relevant external consultants/in-house legal counsel to ascertain obligations and translate into practical solution.

 

To be eligible for this position, you must be a relevant degrees holder (ideally law or related) with demonstrated record of success in regulatory, legal or compliance functions. You must have atleast 10 years of relevant work experience including 3 years in a senior, policy setting or strategic role. You should have strong knowledge of financial services and regulatory environment throughout Asia, have sound legal and/or regulatory background including exposure to working in a corporate law or regulatory compliance affairs function. Ability to work independently, strong communication and people management skills are essential.
