Head of Risk Reporting for Structured Products – Credit and Payments Risk recruitment
The Financial Risk Management (FRM) function has responsibility for monitoring and assessing the Bank's financial risk exposures arising from extensions of intraday credit, discount window lending, open market trading activity, special lending arrangements, and market liquidity facilities. FRM is currently seeking a Head of Risk Reporting, which will report to the Head of the Structured Products Group. The Head of Risk Reporting will be responsible managing the production of regular risk reports to Senior Management, managing meetings of the Bank's Risk Oversight Committee, and managing infrastructure used to store documents and produce risk reports. This position offers the opportunity to excel at and contribute to highly visible initiatives of significant importance to the Bank.
Responsibilities
- Author and coordinate the production of regular executive-level Bank-wide risk reporting updates
- Liaise with risk and facility management staff across the Bank to understand evolving risk profile
- Filter detailed risk information in support of identifying key risk themes for senior executive
- Contribute to the design and definition of detailed risk reporting for the Bank's financial risk exposures
- Prepare and iterate presentation with business owners and risk leadership
•Act as primary coordinator for regular meetings of the Bank's executive-level Risk Oversight Committee
o Work with risk and facility leadership to determine meeting agenda, based on key risk issues
- Coordinate to ensure that meeting materials are prepared in a well-organized and analytically sound manner and timely distributed
- Maintain appropriate Committee records and coordinate follow-up actions
- Manage the Fedshare Sharepoint site for the Risk Oversight Committee
- Manage Risk Reporting components of the Groups customized risk data platform called RiskOptix
- Operate as Risk Liaison for the Structured Products function, administering policies and procedures for the group related to:
- Contingency planning
- Record Retention
- The position is not expected have any direct management responsibilities
Skills
- A masters degree in business, finance or economics preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to ten years of experience in risk management and/or risk reporting in a banking and/or securities industry context, including management experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, including ability to drive initiatives across groups and manage projects/processes exhibiting high standards for quality and productivity
- Strong inter-personal skills, including ability to collaborate and build partnerships with risk staff and colleagues;
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; well-developed presentation skills
- Experience in authoring and giving executive-level risk presentations on an ongoing basis
- Ability to work independently
- Broad knowledge of financial markets
- Ideal candidate would have experience with Sharepoint and extensive experience with advanced functionality of Microsoft Office
