The Equities Technology group is responsible for delivering global technology solutions to the Futures and Options, Equity Derivatives and Cash Equities trading business. They work closely with the business sponsors to define and build the next generation of trading and post trade applications to support trading activities across Asia. This is a rapidly expanding team who are looking to hire top-quality technical staff to work on the deliverables for 2012 and beyond.
The Development Manager will be responsible for managing c25 people in 3 teams focussed on Futures and Options, Equity Derivatives and Cash Equities.
The platforms used in this group are large and complex and feature a mix of new and established components utilising a variety of technologies such as Java, C# and C++.
This is not a programming role but strong general technical skills are required in order to understand and appreciate the technical architecture and get involved in technical discussions with colleagues within the region and globally.
The user group is sophisticated and demanding so the role will suit a self-starter who has a track record of owning and delivering on business priorities. Strong financial product knowledge is required along with a good understanding of trade flows in Asia.
Requirements:
- Software Development Background (Java, C# or C++)
- Highly technical individual capable of mentoring and developing Software Developers
- Solid Management experience of c15 people min teams
- Asia and global project experience
- Investment Banking background with a sound understanding of Financial Products (any asset class can be considered)
