Are you a Senior Manager? Do you have previous Data Centre Operations Support Experience? Have you previously managed 27/7 Operations Teams? Are you ITIL Qualified? Do you want to work for a fast growing organisation? If yes then we want to speak with you.

My client is a market leader in providing solutions to public safety agencies, central government departments, local authorities and voluntary organisations. They have an urgent requirement for a Head of Technical Operations to be the Senior manager of the central technical services area. The Central Services Technical Services Group is made up of third line support engineers in the disciplines of UNIX, Windows, Database, Storage and Backup.

As the successful candidate you will have responsibility for the following:

* Liaise with the managed team's primary customers to understand requirements profiles and produce monthly reports.
* Work closely with the Head of Central Services to develop the shared service approach and maximise benefits to customers
* Play a significant role in developing new services to existing and potential customers, particularly around data centre hosting proposition and enterprise management
* Manage team training plans to ensure that training targets continue to be met and new required skills are identified and plans put in place to gain those skills
* Own issues to an appropriate level
* Work with Head of Central Services to maximise service quality, efficiency and effectiveness
* Directly contribute to the Financial Management of the Central Services department

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills and experience:

* Very experienced technical services manager
* Experienced of delivery in an IT Service Management environment
* Experience of managing the provision of data centre hosting services
* Must have managed 24 x 7 IT Operations teams
* Evidence of expertise in technical services design - must be able to show tangible evidence of creating structures to deliver service - especially relevant around Data Centre services
* Strong leadership skills as well as obtaining buy in without direct authority
* ITIL Qualified - Foundation Certificate minimum
