The ever-evolving regulatory landscape requires McGraw Hill Financial to bolster our European compliance function with respect to European regulation legislation (CRA 3 MAD etc.). We seek an individual to become Head of the Control Room. Basedin Canary Wharf this individual will be charged with shaping and defining our regulatory framework strategy to ensure we meet compliance with European regulation. You will lead a small team and provide upward reporting metrics as requested.
You will:
- Management of Control Room team members and their activities
- Facing off to senior stakeholders
- Leading the investigations, both internal and external
- Regulatory reporting
- Manage insider lists – On-board and off-board employees, contractors and temporary staff.
- Manage insider lists – Manage internal insider lists
- Manage insider lists – Manager external insider lists
- Manage insider lists – Monitor access controls as they pertain to insider lists
- IT infrastructure process improvement
- Produce reports and data as required by internal or external auditors and/ or regulatory requests
- Work with the email surveillance group
- Chaperone Ratings Evaluation Services meetings
- Ratings Evaluation Services monitoring (documentation, recording etc.)
Qualifications
Required:
- Expert knowledge of a 'management of conflict' environment such as a control room
- Expert knowledge from a control function-type environment
- Superior attention to detail and process management
- Excellent Excel skills are required, and knowledge of MySQL would be a benefit
- The ability to think logically, with good communication skills
- The ability to work in a team with a flexible attitude and a willingness to adapt to varied job requirements
- Ideally educated to at least degree level or relevant industry certifications or a directly relevant (demonstrable) background
- Fluency in a second European language would be desirable (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian), particularly to support external insider list outreach and maintenance
