Head of Training & Competence recruitment
Our client is a leading insurance business based in the West Midlands. They are currently looking to recruit a Head of Training and Competence to lead and develop the TC function whilst providing advice and guidance to the business on all training and competence issues. You will act as business partner in relation to TC and will be the first point of reference for any TC queries or advice.
As Head of Training and Competence you will be responsible for the following:
• Providing business advice and expert support on employee development and competence.
• Ensuring the business’ TC scheme is fully understood and effectively implemented company wide.
• Managing relationships with senior stakeholders in the compliance function.
• Ensuring the TC team runs effectively to provide added value to the rest of the business.
• Regular review and interpretation of current regulatory thinking to ensure TC policies remain relevant.
Suitable candidates will have previous TC exposure from within the financial services industry, general insurance experience will be looked upon very favourably. Practical knowledge and experience of implementing FSA requirements include TCF and SYSC would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate will have excellent people management skills along with the ability to influence at senior business level.
