Head of Treasury & Investments

Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:

- Planning and analysis of economic capital and risk taking trends
- Understand and interpret quarterly economic capital results
- Ensuring short-term liquidity of the bank
- Treasury reporting and analysis (treasury committee, capital committee and ALCOs)
- Control the funds transfer pricing process
- Oversee of all aspects of planning including the funding plan and capital plan
- Product control (i.e. taking charge of mapping each product with regard to its underlying liquidity, behavior characteristics and pipeline risk)
- Ensure the Treasury business is in line with compliance guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Developing products for wholesale banking clients and market them jointly with wholesale relationship management group
- Work with Head of Risk and CFO to assess effectiveness of hedging strategy
- Build and enhance the framework for returns and capital allocation both in the planning process and assure the bank retains flexibility to re-allocate capital during the year to the most value creating opportunities
- Monitor the units budget and ensure that the financial targets are achieved
- Ensure cooperation with Wholesale banking units
- Participate in formulating and executing the bank and wholesale banking strategy

Minimum Qualifications Experience Requirements:

- 10+ years of professional experience in banking treasury
- Has significant understanding of treasury and financial markets including underlying drivers of balance sheet liquidity and drivers of capital, product behavior, risk, treasury financial planning reporting and regulatory requirements
- Sound understanding of risk including a keen awareness of compliance discipline
- Proven leadership skills and excellent analytical skills
- Arabic Speaker essential
