To strengthen our Investment Products Services (IPS) Business Risk Regulatory Management (BRR), Special Focus Group (SFG), we are looking for an experienced
Head Special Focus Group ? Risk / Regulatory related Analysis
to be based in Opfikon. The IPS BRR Special Focus Group (SFG) function has been established as an integral part of the overall BRR sector within IPS to undertake critical assessments of specific issues or themes (risk, regulatory, policy or governance related across IPS) as mandated by the IPS MC or the Head of IPS BRR. This function will operate in close partnership with existing IPS BRR risk and project delivery functions.
In this role you will lead this small high-profile team with their special tasks or assignments and be required to:
Demonstrate proven business understanding and rigorous problem/ issue analysis expertise gained ideally in both a product/ business role and a control function capacity (or equivalent)
Drive specialist tasks and assignments across the risk and regulatory landscape
Undertake and present detailed assessments to an excellent standard to senior management
Ensure that all analysis by the SFG team is undertaken and presented in a highly efficient and effective manner and to the highest standard
Successfully manage interactions and relationships with senior business and Control Function representatives
Lead a team, act as a senior leader in the BRR function and help to drive the strategy both for the SFG team as well as for the BRR function
Challenge, be accountable and take decision where appropriate and necessary
For this position we are looking for a highly motivated and capable individual who has:
A University degree level qualification as a minimum in law or equivalent degree and maybe in addition business, management context or numerate discipline
A results oriented approach, with a proven track record in assessment and analysis delivery, involving complex product/ service content and interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders in a financial services or wealth management context
Direct, substantial and recent experience in a relevant Control Function (such as Legal Compliance or Audit) or equivalent
The necessary soft skills to manage multiple, key stakeholders, both in person and remotely
Proven leadership skills
An ability to efficiently and effectively assimilate and analyse data and information in various forms
The ability to undertake objective 'own' thinking and with that test and challenge views, form personal views, make clear, precise and relevant recommendations and, where necessary, own implementation plans
Excellent written and oral skills in presenting complex topics in a succinct manner
Excellent command of spoken and written English, with similar German skills advantageous
