The Role
The position will involve the successful candidate developing strong and sustainable relationships with agreed market access stakeholders within the NHS. You will scope and develop, in partnership with the Hospital Specialist team, optimum market access plans to drive sales within targeted customer organisations across Trusts and PCTs.
Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed sales and business targets
- Develop, implement and review account plans and business strategies
- Build and develop professional long-term customer relationships with key stakeholders
- Maintain existing and new customers relationships, and keep customers fully informed with products being sold, and guide them on usage via presentations
- Collect and maintain relevant sales and customer data, further analysing the market and subsequently produce accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Manage and have ownership of the complete sales cycle and gain access to the appropriate decision makers and influencers within it
Key Skills and Experience
- ABPI Qualified
- You will be educated to degree level preferably within a life sciences discipline
- You will have a strong background with specialist, secondary care sales
- You will ideally have had good experience of having strategic discussions within commissioners, medicines management and director level customers
- You are able to absorb clinical, scientific data to use and discuss with key customers
- You can build strong relationships which are both commercial and intellectual, and can adapt yourself to the customers' needs
- Possess strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and sales skills
