Hedge Fund COO – Established Fund

The role is working for a fund that has been around for a number of years with a solid AUM. The role would see you take on an expanding finance and operations function internally that needs restructuring from a change management (systems, processes, procedures) perspective. The key part to the role is the classic remit of a COO in the face off that you are to have with external counterparties and clients. They are going through a strong period of marketing, looking to seriously enhance their current AUM and they would see the COO as playing a big part in this also.

Given that the existing COO can leave immediately or in 6 months, the client is prepared to take time to find the right hire. For that reason they are open to a number of different profiles (initially anyway). We can take on more of an FD type candidate that is ideally ACA qualified, currently an FD in the hedge fund space and has had operations exposure / remit attached to his / her finance role. The next profile is to take on an existing hedge fund COO who would be established rather than seasoned. The final option is to take on an exceptionally strong head of operations that has performed a big role at a London hedge fund that has gone through a strong period of expansion and change to which the individual has played a key role.

The role is paying an attractive base salary. Given the performance of the fund you should expect a strong bonus potential in addition. An equity stake is also to be given to the hire.
