Hedge Fund – Fund Administrator recruitment

THE COMPANY

Our client is an FSA regulated investment management business with funds under management of just over CHF800million
The business acts in a number of capacities, either as an investment advisor, manager and /or an administrator to various offshore investment funds
The company is based in South West London and has an excellent reputation in the market place

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fund administrator to join a small, but growing investment business
Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer and the Financial Controller, your primary responsibility will be to prepare the daily reporting and administration of investment funds under the company’s management
This will include the calculation of the daily and monthly NAVs and the preparation and maintenance of daily fund portfolio reports
On top of this you will also perform PL analysis together with explanations for large variances, as well as the position and value reconciliations
There will be also be considerable liaison with the fund administrators and brokers to enable the above to be carried out effectively, and internally there will be the requirement to assist fund managers, traders and the accounts/compliance team

YOUR PROFILE

Ideally you will have worked in an investment or fund related environment and be looking to get into a business that will allow you to have a very broad scope in your role, with considerable opportunity to develop as the business grows
You will need to have a knowledge, interest and understanding of trade flows and the valuation of financial instruments
You will also need to be a strong team player as this is a small business and there will be daily interaction with the whole business
On top of this, you must be sefl-motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to innovate and work under pressure
Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential and a working knowledge of Beauchamp would be an advantage
