Hedge Fund Research Analyst recruitment
The Altavista Capital Group is a hedge fund manager with offices in Mumbai and London. We currently manage global equity long short and global credit funds with about 300m USD in AUM. We are looking to hire smart young professionals interested in building a career in the hedge fund industry. We are looking for associates to work with us in the research/investing group.
The Research analyst role involves identifying and analysing investment opportunities for the Credit and Equity Funds. It would involve primary (talking to companies, supply chain participants, customers) and secondary research (reading financial statments, broker reports, market research reports etc) and building financial models (excel based). The conclusions from the research will be thoroughly debated and should ideally result in a investment decision.
The ideal candidate would be/have:
- Graduates with 1-2 years banking/consulting/investing experience
- 2:1 or above from a leading university
- Strong analytical capability
- Ability to analyse financial statements and build financial models (excel based)
- High energy, self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Passion for building a long term career in investing
