Help Desk Support Technician (57927) Information Systems - Help Desk USA-ME-Kittery Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Status: Must be Obtainable Schedule: Part Time : Type of Travel: None Percent of Travel Required: None Description Duties and Responsibilities: CACI has a temporary, full-time opening for a Help Desk Support Technician to provide Help Desk support to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, ME. Primary duties include providing Tier 1 Help Desk support to the PNS user community. Secondary responsibilities include overseeing the operation of computer hardware systems, ensuring successful execution of automated and manually initiated schedules, and escalating problems according to established procedures. All activities take place in a hybrid environment using both legacy and Navy Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) network infrastructures. Examples of daily Help Desk support: - Provide telephone, e-mail, and walk-in customer support to the user community - Test critical applications utilizing provided web tools - Assisting programmers and systems analysts by testing and debugging new programs. - Performing routine system inspections and annotate system logs. - Monitoring and controlling environmental conditions/temperatures of designated spaces. - Contact government POCs in accordance with procedures when errors occur Candidates must be able to work independently on assigned shifts as part of a 24x7 schedule. Preferential treatment will be given to candidates willing to pick up additional shifts as available. Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - One to two years of related help desk experience. - Ability to obtain the following certifications: - Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) (or greater) - CompTIA's Security+ - US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance Desired Qualifications: - A technical professional that works well in a team environment - 2-4 years data center experience is preferred - Former military experience or work experience as contractor or civil servant with US Navy, Naval Shipyards, or other military installation - Experience working within the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.
