This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an IT Helpdesk Support Engineer – 1st Line Support, to join an international organisation based Nr Ely in Cambridgeshire.
You will be responsible for all aspects of 1st line support for this mainly Microsoft site and so it is essential that you have excellent customer skills, 1st line technical support skills across most Desktop Applications, attention to detail and able to work as part of a team.
Essential Skills/Experience
· You will need to demonstrate a good depth of knowledge in all versions of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and E-mail, Networking, Active Directory.
· Understanding of DNS TCP/IP.
· You will need to have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· The ability to diagnose a range of technical issues and find appropriate solutions.
· Ability to work under pressure and be methodical in your approach in problem solving.
· Must be polite, confident and unflappable and a team player.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Any of the following would be advantageous, but not essential:
· Wireless troubleshooting networking.
· Experience of working with BES and configuring/troubleshooting Blackberry’s
· Experience of working within an ITIL framework
