High Yield Bonds Dealer
Working as part of a dynamic multi asset class trading team you will report into the head of credit trading. Must have recent, specific experience of trading/executing global High Yield product. Must be dynamic, pro-active and be looking to add value to the investment process above and beyond execution.
The task requires attention to details and a high degree of efficiency in managing order flow.
The role will also require a flexible-working pattern as dictated by business volume.
Key Accountabilities:
- Specialising in High Yield while also trading a wide range of fixed income products, including high grade bonds, derivatives, and rates in compliance with client, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Undertaking market-related research including up-to-date knowledge of all relevant technical, regulatory and compliance issues.
- Monitoring executions to ensure “best execution” at all times, and timely settlement of all trades.
- Developing close working relationship with all fund mangers and understanding their specific requirements/objectives allowing you to be pro-active in adding value to the investment process.
- Encourage the use of alternative execution means to help achieve best execution/ efficiency.
- Assist with on going IT developments incorporating spreadsheet and macros.
- Developing and maintaining good working relationship with counterparties, consistent with the highest standard of professionalism and service.
- Administration and reporting of trades in accordance with company rules and procedures. Adhering to company risk controls and counterparty limits.
- Assist in other markets as required.
Academic / Technical Qualifications:
Essential
- Threshold competent – registered with FSA in current/previous role

Experience / Skills:
Essential
- A proven background working within a professional trading position in financial services
- Multi currency fixed income credit trading, high grade and high yield.
- CDS trading
- Bulk order trading
- Global Fixed Income credit trading, specialising in high yield covering Europe, North America, LATAM and Middle East coupled with high grade trading experience
- Solid understanding of market risk, including curve and duration risk.
- An sound understanding of Derivatives trading
- Excellent communication skills
