High Yield credit analyst for Leading Investment fund

A leading fund, with offices across a number of global locations and as vast amount of assets under management are looking to add a high yield credit analyst to their team in London.

Within this role you will be responsible for generating alpha for clients through the bottom-up analysis and selection of both Investment Grade and High Yield credits

As a generalist analyst you will be analysing a variety of non financial sectors including: Telecoms, Insurance, Chemicals, Business Services, Aerospace Defence and Technology

In order to be considered for the role you should have:

-       A minimum of 5 years experience covering High yield credit form a research perspective.

-       Working as a lead/top rated analyst covering the high yield sectors in the EMEA region.

-       Been responsible for generating trade ideas, producing publications, and maintaining models

-       Performed Relative Value recommendations to Portfolio Managers

You should understand the technical drivers of asset valuations whilst having a solid appreciation of the macroeconomic environment as you will be expected to be able to look at the high yield credit perspective from both a bottom up securities selection and a top-down view on corporate credit over government bonds.

Within this role you will be:-

-       Providing fundamental and relative value research on existing holdings and generate credit driven investment ideas specific to their sector

-       Proactively communicating investment ideas by initiating discussions with Portfolio Managers and participating in group meetings

-       Producing written reports such as company evaluations, quarterly updates, relative value analyses and industry reviews

-       Interaction with clients /client service professionals

You should be able to demonstrate times when you have developed Credit market views and analysis through both written analysis and presentations.

This firm is a market leader and therefore searching for someone who can regularly contribute ideas.  

This role would suit an individual with up to 8 years experience within high yield credit research from a leading institution.

This role holds no portfolio management responsibilities therefore the hiring manager will not consider traders or portfolio managers for this position.
