Our client is looking for a Hospice Director to start at their 15 bed hospice based in Bedfordshire on a full time basis. As a hospice director, you will be working alongside the Assistant Director for Palliative services to set and deliver the strategic direction and development of the hospice. You will also be tasked with providing expert knowledge of hospice care in the locality as well as acting as an ambassador for the hospice and the Charity itself.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide expert knowledge of hospice care
· Formulating an annual operational plan and deliver the strategic direction and development of the hospice’s services.
· Responsible for growing and developing fundraising and statutory income.
· Responsible for growing and developing the clinical services with the local commissioning groups.
· Overall responsibility for the hospice budgets and annual budgetary expenditure.
Person Specification
· Educate to Post-Graduate level in a health-related discipline (or equivalent knowledge)
· Management and leadership qualification (or equivalent knowledge)
· Knowledge of or past experience of the regulatory requirements in a health or charitable sector.
· Comprehensive understanding of hospice care and the strategic drivers influencing Hospice care and service delivery.
· Ability to demonstrate a track record of leading and managing similar successful clinical and financial operations for a large regional health care provider.
· Strong leadership presence, with personal values matching those of a successful organisation. Showing evidence of personal drive, energy and the ability to deliver outcomes to the highest standard.
