Salary - £60,000 pa plus benefits
Reports to: Assistant Director of Neurological Care

Job Role / Key Accountabilities:

Our client is looking for a Neurological Centre Director for their centre in York. A pivotal role within the organisation, the post holder will set the standards of care and deliver the strategic direction for their innovative service. Some of these key accountabilities and responsibilities will are detailed below:

· The formulation of an annual plan to develop and grow the service in line with the local commissioning groups, local authority and national disease specific charities (e.g. Huntington’s Disease and MND)
· To have overall responsibility for budget management and expenditure.
· To lead by example to ensure the team performs to the best of their potential
· To provide expert knowledge of neurological care while acting as an ambassador for the centre within the local community.
· Responsibility for the quality and services of care as the Registered Manager for the service
· A responsibility to ensure that direct reports fulfil their responsibilities.

Person Specification:

Prospective applicants should be aware of the following prior to submitting their applications:

· To be educated to Post-Graduate level in a health-related discipline (or equivalent knowledge)
· To hold a management or leadership qualification.
· To hold a CQC Registered Manager’s qualification, or the ability to meet the requirements.
· To be an inspirational leader with the ambition, energy and drive to deliver outcomes to the highest standard.
· Experience of managing a similar successful clinical operation.
· Excellent strategic, financial planning and change management experience.
· To be adept at creating and forging relationships with key stakeholders.
· To be able to promote a “selling and marketing” approach externally within Neurological centres.
