Summary:

This position will provide human resources support to management and employees with responsibility in the following areas: employee relations, workforce planning and retention, recruiting coordination, as well as providing subject matter expertise relative to administrative, transactional processes, data automation, gathering data, analysis and reporting - with the objective of increasing employee, management, and organizational effectiveness.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

•Provide interpretation of policies and assist with the implementation and administration of HR policies and programs.
•Recommend and perform quality control procedures as defined to ensure accurate and compliant records, including records related to promotions, job transfers and new hires. Maintain open position and workforce planning reports.
•Participate in the design and development of Human Resources processes and practices
•Perform end user testing for system configuration changes, problem resolution, enhancements, upgrades, and integration activities.
•Perform investigations to evaluate and resolve various compliance and employee issues.
•Ensure compliance with laws/regulations and assess progress against company EEO/Affirmative Action goals.
•Manage and implement special projects as assigned.
•Provide positive customer service by responding to employee and manager on HR- related questions. Provide reference to HR policies and procedures. Promotes employee self service in compliance with available systems and procedures.
•Work with HR colleagues (generalists and specialists) to identify new opportunities to add value to the organization; help HR colleagues with projects (as and where needed).

Education:

•Bachelor's Degree, in a related discipline, preferred.

Experience:

•2 plus years of human resources experience in a support / specialist function in a fast-paced, dynamic organization is highly desired.
•1-2 years of recent experience analyzing and resolving employee issues, providing advice and counseling to managers and supervisors.
•Must have proven abilities with office organization, process design / process improvement, and the maintenance of confidential information, attention to detail is required.
•Experience working with ADP, ADP reporting and e-Time preferred.
•Experience working in a large utilities or energy company is highly desirable.
•Advanced Excel skills required to include the following:
◦Ability to enter data in pre-existing models and reports, run reports created by others
◦Use shortcuts and functions to build models and develop business forecasts, run test scenarios and create charts
◦Overall solid Excel skills with more advanced functionality, including the creation of pivot tables, data tables, lookup functions and logical references
•Experience working and developing SharePoint sites preferred.
