Provides HR services and support in one or more areas of human resources, i.e. recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, etc.    Responsibilities include a multitude of activities such as policy/guideline interpretation, assistance in the escalation of employee grievance issues, liaison to workers’ councils and unions, implementation of business events, workforce balancing, new employee orientation, etc.  May also act as a business partner to managers, including counseling senior business managers on people-related strategies.

Develops, implements, and administers compensation or benefits policies/programs within the organization.  Typical assignments include assessing competitive practices and the organization's competitive position for specific programs, developing recommendations for actions or programs, preparing reports and recommendations related to programs.

Develops and administers proactive programs, procedures and policies related to employee relations activities.  Responsibilities include auditing the organization to identify employee relations issues, investigating formal employee complaints and making recommendations to resolve issues, and compiling statistical reports and information.  Ensures that legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations to minimize exposure to liability.

A seasoned, experience professional with a full understanding in area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.  Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.  

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
