The Human Resources team is viewed as business partners within the Company responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service to the lines of business. The generalist team supports an array of challenging client bases across locations: UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in an advisory capacity using specialist knowledge around the full breadth of HR issues according to local markets, employment law and best practice.
The strategy of the team is to work with the business to implement best practice in line with company goals to enhance the companys position as an employer of choice. The success of the HR team is dependent upon the availability of broad HR skills and experience and in-depth knowledge of employee requirements versus a balance with commercial awareness.
The HR team is dynamic, committed, and passionate about HR. The approach is professional, open and consultative.
Responsibilities
Working with the VP HR Generalist you will research, design, co-ordinate, implement and deliver best practice HR policies and practices covering the wide spectrum within the HR space.
Although this newly created role is not client facing it is essential that you create and maintain effective relationships with managers throughout the Company and other key stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors. This role will be viewed as a Subject Matter Expert and therefore a role model within the department
As this role is a senior role within the generalist team, it is expected that you will help with the coaching, mentoring and development of any HR Associate within the team and help and assist them in achieving a seamless and coordinated approach of the HR delivery to their clients.
Key Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive of:
- Designing, co-ordinating, reviewing and collating all policies, precedents and procedures throughout EMEA in accordance with local legislation, updating and amending as appropriate
- Maintaining the country legislative files
- Audit coordination / liaison for the HR department
- Management of the maintenance of all HR employee files EMEA ensuring they are up to date and fit for auditing purposes
- Maintenance of the ER log and responsibility for the weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting of this.
- Maintenance and assurance that employment contract templates are current and up to date in accordance with local legislation
- Monitor EU and country level legislation impact on employment and policies and alert management as necessary.
- Participate in developing the HR regional goals, objectives, processes and systems and recommending changes as necessary.
- Delivery of ad-hoc training which touch the HR remit to employees as and when required
- Experience of MA, TUPE and Restructuring.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development is desired
Experience
A proven wealth of experience in a multi-national company working in an advisory role within an HR department. We are also looking for the following key competencies;
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of European employment law and HR best practice systems, processes and procedures including recruitment and selection, and employee relations
- Be highly organised and efficient to be able to multi-task in a high pressured environment and meet deadlines
